European Research Institute of Catalysis a.i.s.b.l.

ERIC a.i.s.b.l., the European Research Institute of Catalysis, is a non-profit international association formed by 22 European universities. ERIC’s goals are to support the members of the association by acting as a catalyst for joint research and training/educational activities, and by providing assistance in project management, intellectual property rights (IPR) promotion, and international collaboration. It offers services to chemical and energy companies, and more broadly to the production sector, by sharing its expertise in catalysis—ranging from white papers to specific technology-driven studies, benchmarking, IPR assistance, and patent scouting—as well as training and other services. ERIC also serves as a single interface for multi-institutional and multidisciplinary activities. As a registered organization with the European Parliament for lobbying activities, ERIC provides support in R&D and lobbying interests. Furthermore, ERIC acts proactively within the catalysis community by organizing international meetings, events, and training sessions, promoting catalysis at both European and international levels, and supporting the development of roadmaps and other reference documents to enable a long-term vision of catalysis as a key science for a sustainable, energy-efficient, and low-carbon future.
